Speaks At WWF's Eco Internship Workshop

[Pakistan, Friday, 27^thJune'14]: As the summers kick in and schools officially close for holidays, various organizations and companies have begun their camps and internships. WWF Pakistan recently completed their Eco Internship Program at the Regent Plaza, Karachi and daraz.pk's co-founder Farees Shah was invited to speak with students.

Speaking to the participants, who were high school and undergraduate students, Fareesdiscussed with them future career options. In an interactive session Farees gave them a brief introduction about himself and how he became the co-founder of one of Pakistan's biggest online shopping portals. Following this he asked them what it was that they were aspiring to become and shared with them advice on how to go about achieving their dreams, the most important being "speak with as many people as possible, both in the field you want to go into and from other fields."

Farees also advised them to not focus on money for a minimum of six months to a year when they initially begin working. They should instead concentrate on getting maximum learning from their job.

Speaking with Farees as to why he chooses to speak at such forums he commented: “It was great to engage with the students and talk to them about their aspirations. It is important for students at that young age to be exposed to a variety of sectors - especially atypical ones such as ecommerce and social media etc.”

It was a short, fun session which let the future generation know that it's okay if they don't have all the answers right now and advised on how they can go about finding them. It is inspiring to see young professionals such asFarees Shah willing to share their knowledge with employees of tomorrow in a fun yet highlyinformative manner.
