Event held in honour of Arch. Sakar Shreshtha from Nepal and Arch. Abha Narain from India provided Pakistani architects an opportunity to share ideas and expertise with architects from across the borders
Karachi August 30, 2014: The Institute of Architects Pakistan, Karachi Chapter (IAP, KC) and Kansai Paint Pvt (Ltd) hosted a gala Evening of musical entertainment by Hamid Ali Khan on August 29, 2014 at the Marriot Hotel Karachi, in honour of Arch. Sakar Shreshtha from Nepal and Arch. Abha Narain from India, who are visiting Pakistan to participate in an International Forum being arranged by IAP.
The event, attended by leading architects of Pakistan. Arch. Mumtaz Jilani, Chairperson IAP, KC, opened the event and welcomed the guests from across the border and expanded the vision of IAP in supporting and encouraging the architectural community of Pakistan. The welcome speech was followed by Mr. Zafar Abbas, CEO Kansai Paint Pakistan, who welcomed the executive committee and members of IAP and thanked them for their support.
“The purpose and intention of IAP for this evening and get together is not only to connect with the professional fraternity but also to promote institution’s objective to engage professionals and encourage the exchange of ideas among the attendees. I would like to thank our sponsor Kansai Paints, without whom this beautiful evening would not have been possible.” Said Ar. Mumtaz Jillani, Chairperson IAP, KC.

Let us all enjoy this cultural evening together.”
Architects, both from Pakistan and across borders, spent a delightful evening of invigorating conversations while enjoying the classical music of Hamid Ali Khan, as was the purpose of the event. Dinner was served after the musical night, as the participants wallowed in the chance of acquainting with likeminded people from the field architecture.
