MASALA FAMILY FESTIVAL 2015
The two-day festival provided
families with an opportunity to plan a perfect day-out, meet their favourite
Masala chefs, shop to their hearts content, watch live cooking demonstrations
by Masala chefs and purchase autographed copies of their favourite cookbooks.
Karachi, February 9: Karachi’s much anticipated family
festival-Masala Family Festival 2015, held at the Expo Centre Karachi ended up
in the huge applause and applauds by the audiences for the organisers. The two-day festival provided families with an opportunity
to plan a perfect day-out, where they met their favourite Masala chefs, shop to
their hearts content, watched live cooking demonstrations by Masala chefs, and
purchased autographed copies of their favourite cookbooks.

Masala Family Festival a huge success. Let's hope the city

The audiences
were much enthralled by the live cooking demonstration of all Masala chefs at
different times during the two-day festival, giving the crowds a chance to see
their favourite chefs. The highlight of this two-day event was the interactive
session of Chefs at the Publications booth of HUM Network where they signed
copies of their cookbooks and took pictures with audiences.
The other
main highlight of this year’s festival was the kids’ arena, for the
entertainment of kids of all ages. The huge and beautifully set-up kids’ arena
had wide ranging fun rides, from jumping castles to the Ferris wheel, merry-go-round, train rides, vintage cars
show and pet show to keep the young ones occupied. The mark the end of the
two-day festival, the audiences were given a special treat when Afsheen Hayat
took the stage and performed live in front of thousands of audiences.
Apart
from the fact that all major FMCG companies were part of the event, selling everything
from household appliances, food items and crockery to jewellery, clothing and
much more. To satiate the appetites of the visitors, the organisers arranged
for lots of food and drinks stalls as well. The visitors were also given a
chance to win different prizes including motorbikes, washing machines and other
household appliances via lucky draws and various fun activities and games
