Pakistani Short Film invited to participate at 2015 Cannes Film Festival
[Karachi: April 7, 2015]: Pakistani short film 'Baat Cheet' has been invited to participate in the Short
Film Corner at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival. The short film was written, produced and directed by
Rayika Choudri and stars Sarwat Gilani and Joshinder Chaggar in the leading roles.
Due to represent the film at the festival is Choudri herself and the film's assistant director, Misha Rezvi,
an Emmy-winning documentary filmmaker.
Baat Cheet has also won three gold awards at the Documentary & Short International Movie Awards
2015 (Indonesia) in directing, newcomer and international short film categories.
The 68th annual Cannes Film Festival is scheduled to be held from 13 to 24 May 2015 in France.
