PAKISTANI DESIGNER AFSHEEN MEHBOOB TO PARTICIPATE AT ‘RAWAJ 2015 SHINE BRIGHT LIKE A DIAMOND’ FASHION SHOW IN SAN ANTONIO TEXAS.

Karachi, May 11, 2015: Internationally recognized Pakistani fashion designer Afsheen Mehmood, renowned for her cosmopolitan well-travelled Luxury Prêt, Prêt, and Bridal wear is all geared up to participate at the ‘Rawaj 2015: Shine Bright Like A Diamond’  Fashion Extravaganzain San Antonio, Texas on May 17,2015.
‘Ravaj’ is an annual fashion show and exhibition which takes place at myriad large urban cities across the United States, highlighting and providing a commercial platform for the creativity of fashion designers from the subcontinent including Pakistan.
Rawaj Fashion Extravaganza’s 3rd Annual Fashion show to benefit the Children’s Shelter of San Antonio will take place at the Omni Hotel on Colonnade Blvd, San Antonio, Texas and is organized by Ayesha Zaheer and co-hosted by Habiba Rajpari and Rosemary Hammoudeh with the fashion show being choreographed by Meet Vahbeez.

The capsule collection Afsheen has created for Ravaj 2015 is called  ‘Midas’ and promises to dazzle with it glittering gold accents, sophisticated silhouettes, subtle  colours and sumptuous fabric choices. This is the second time that Afsheen, who began her fashion designing career in 2010 has participated at Rawaj, the first time being 2013. Her label is hugely popular and sells well in Chicago, Houston, Dallas Atlanta and San Antonio as well as Karachi, Lahore and Faisalabad, selling at Fashion Central in Lahore and Heritage Fashion House in Faisalabad respectively.

Apart from being popular amongst the Asian diaspora in the United States, Afsheen is also a favourite among Pakistan’s entertainment industry and has dressed TV hosts sanam jung and Sanam baloch  for their morning shows as well as actress Mawra Hocane for the drama serial ‘Maryam’ on GEO Entertainment. This past Mother’s Day Afsheen also dressed TV host and actress Sanam Baloch for the ‘Mothers' Day Special’ on ARY News.
