PAS Awards 2016: Now Open for Entries

[Karachi: November 26, 2015] The Pakistan Advertisers Society announced the launch of PAS Awards 2016 recently at a briefing session held in Karachi and Lahore respectively.

Entering its 6^th year, the award programme has established itself as one of the most prestigious and premier award programme of the marketing, advertising and media industry.

Continuing the trend, the award programme this year introduces the mostexciting ‘The Brand of the Year’Award that will recognize and reward outstanding efforts of outstanding marketers that have been successful in delivering its brand vision, mission and objective with sustainability and measured growth.  In addition, two new categories ‘Best in PR’ and ‘Season’s Special’ have also been introduced this year. These special awards are in addition to the 20 regular categories and some of the special categories like Passion for Pakistan, Media Innovation, Best in Digital, etc. that the award programme has.

At the briefing session Khurram Koraishy, Chairman PAS said “PAS Awards is all about honouring and rewarding great work that the Pakistani marketers and advertising professionals produce. It celebrates the success of the industry in an effort to raise the standard of advertising practices in the country”.The PAS Awards enjoys wide support from all the industry stakeholders with distinguished stalwarts as part of its jury panel, setting it as an industry benchmark of excellence.

Along with senior industry professionals, also, present at the session was Waheed Bhatti, a communication specialist who shared with the audience his insights and suggestions from previous jury members on how to effectively enter the competition. Ali Rez, Creative Consultant and Assam Khalid, Head of Strategy, BBDO Pakistan who won Pakistan its first Gold Lions at Cannes were also invited to share insider’s tip on making winning case studies.

Speaking about PAS Awards 2016, Qamar Abbas, Executive Director, PAS said, “PAS aspires to raise the bar of standard each year and we look forward to some great campaigns in PAS Awards 2016”. The competition is now open for entries and all the campaigns that ran in 2015 are eligible to enter with January 31^st 2016 as the last date of submission.

The PAS Award 2016 Awards Night function is scheduled to take place in Karachi, April 2016.
