Shazia Kiyani’s TBCW 2015 Lahore collection titled “Woven Dreams” is inspired the works of the legendary English textile designer, poet and social activist William Morris. Her collection is crafted using traditional work and stitches comprising of pure fabric, hand embroidery and intricate work such as Mukesh & Tilla, and above all, the embellishment used in the form of precious stones brings reminiscence of the culturally rich Eastern heritage to the “Woven Dreams”.
The color palette is focused on earthy colors and warm pastels such as ivory, beige and peach, with hints of olive and red. The collection uses beautiful sheer fabric with a traditional and modern silhouette, making it a fusion for the modern bride of today while paying homage to the traditional aspects.
