LAYS: #Plantapack for a #Cleanandgreen Pakistan
Lay’s has always been at the forefront in enlightening the consumers about the little joys of life
through its campaigns. The purpose of the brand is to motivate its consumers to embrace
enjoyment while indulging in the great taste of Lay’s.
#PlantaPack activity is part of the brand’s recent campaign of keeping Pakistan
Under this initiative, Lay’s executed this plant a pack activity in Karachi Literature Festival 2016
at Beach Luxury Hotel on 7th Feb 2016 as well as in various universities. This simple yet
engaging activity created awareness of planting trees in order to keep our society
#cleanandgreen. Special tree mascots were designed to intercept people to create awareness
about the activity.
An astonishing number of celebrities, socialites, journalists and bloggers turned up to support
#plantapack namely, Komal Rizvi, Sarwat Gillani, Maira Khan, Sonia Hussain, Tipu Sharif,
Tapu Javeri, Fahad Mirza, Kiran & George, Nadya Mistry, Rafia Rafeeq, Aneela Murtaza,
Humayoun Alamgir, Sarah Gandapur, Shanaz Ramzi, Turab & Mina, Danish Wakeel, amongst
many others. Also, many celebrities supported the campaign through social media filters such as
Ayesha Omer, Khalid Malik, Anoushey Ashraf, Komal Rizvi, Amina Malik, Sarwat Gillani,
Momal Shiekh, Nausheen Shah, Nadia Hussain, Nadya Mistry, Shazia Naz, Esheeta Syed, Maya
Khan Rind, and Humayoun Alamgir. The PR of the event was handled by BB Events & PR
Mr. Masud Anwar from the Lays brand team comments on the recent campaign, “We always
want to and believe in contributing to the society we live in. With our new flavor launch, we
planned this initiative of keeping Pakistan clean and green. Plant A Pack activity is part of this
agenda through which we wanted to create awareness about keeping Pakistan clean and green
and give our consumers a chance to contribute to this cause through a simple mechanism of
planting flowers in used lay’s packs.”
