Riwayat ltd hosted its 7th Pakistan fashion
week 2015 at the Russell Hotel London in second week of January 2015. Riwayat's
journey has been a rich one so far, from humble beginnings in 2011 to
showcasing 40+ top designers from sub-continent has been an uphill task
successfully managed by Adnan
Ansari,chris east,Huma tahir and saheba, the hard working team behind
Pakistan fashion week 2015..
The two-day event focused on latest trends in Asian designer-wear
including contemporary , formals and bridals , showcased by renowned designers
including sonya batla, Honey Waqar , Rang Ja, Aijazz Aslam, cocktail, Kamdani ,
Moazzam Abbasi, Lajwanti, ,goal by fauzia hammad,ahsan khan(mens wear designer
from UK),shazia kiani,Alizeh khan,many more. Besides clothing the jewelry
brands from India also participated in the event .The two days exhibition was
also a part of the fashion week which gave an opportunity to the designers to
sell their products to their Asian buyers in UK.
The socialites and prominent
Pakistanis came in full force to attend the event the chief guest at the
event was secretary TDAP Rabia Javeri.The
event was also attended by Pakistani High commission to UK syed Ibne Abbas.
Hosted by renowned BBC anchor Atika, the fashions shows
saw some of Asia's most famous models walk the ramp including Fozia, Eshal and
Sadaf and Paula con miss brazil UK.
The media and PR of Pakistan fashion week was handled by TAKEII,Make-up and styling was done by
saima khan while the choreography of the event was managed by Hajra.
The high point of Pakistan fashion week 2015 were top 8
collections by the labels which are not
only diversified but also represent Pakistan craftsmanship and culture at its
best.
SONYA BATLA
Sonya Batla showcased her latest” Manora”collection which she
created in collaborations with artist Nazia Khan.the visual experience of
history and architecture of manora island captured on fabrics in form of prints
were brought to live in interesting, breathtaking and creative silhouettes which are signature of
sonya batla the designer par excellence……
HONEY WAQAR
Honey Waqar,s collection “Kohinoor” was a tribute to Queen of
England. In this collection subdued color palette was brought to live by
honey’s signature floweral motifs in shades of jewels…stitched to perfection
the collection had interesting mix of eastern and western silhouttes,the
highlight of this beautiful collection was an outfit of finale in which model
fauzia walk down the ramp holding replica of famous Kohinoor diamond , in lilac
gray tissue lehga with peach pink rose motifs spread all over..
RANG JA
Rang Ja presented their signature Prêt Line which was colouful, eccalectic and quirky .Bold ,bright and contemporary rang ja’s collection had enough spunk to light up any wardrobe.
The Traditional designs on western cuts and silhouettes celebrated rich Pakistani heritage and embodied style, elegance and individuality.this extraordinary collection on hand-woven fabrics with dazzling spread

AHSAN'S
UK based menswear fashion designer Ahsan khan
showcased exceptional range of traditional and contemporary groom wear
including Sherwanis, Jodhpuris and Indo
Western Sherwanis ,his designs were highly adorned with finest quality of
jewels, gemstones, sequins, zardosi, nakshi and zari work. Styled with
exquisite traditional accessories from raj’s era, Ahsan’s mens wear collection
was an absolute visual treat, famous TV actor Aijaaz Aslam was designer’s
showstopper at the event.

SAHAR ATIF (SAAI)
Sahar Atif presented “The Sultanate”- a collection that married exquisite embroidery with the drama of couture as it worked to preserve the centuries old legacy of Islamic art, architecture and crafts translated into the finest examples of elegance. An amalgamation of the purity of white-on-white juxtaposed against the modernity of Saai’s signature silhouettes. Creative techniques to reinterpret intricately crafted textures through various forms of embroidery gave each ensemble the essence of being a masterpiece

Shazia kiani’s beautiful bridal line was a treat to watch, intricate craftsmanship on the most unusual color palette , elegant silhouettes tailored to perfection and unique detailings were the highlights the collection presented by this Rawalpindi based designer.

simple yet elegant...featuring the most popular color pallate of ivory and
creams the collection was mainly in lace, net and crochet, interesting and

fashionable…
